I hope you never want to be on the same page. We’re always two steps off if you’re counting. I've never been enough to know that I am wrong. And I’ll admit all my flaws if you would share with me yours. Yeah you scream, “privilege, you greedy bastards! (I know I’m just, as sick as you are) Then we’ll sit here and wait for death to come without the answers. Well we can say to anyone who will listen, “there is no purpose and there is no reason” I hope you never find out my real name. I haven’t used it for years out of fear you see. I've never been enough to know that I am running. And I’ll never admit that I’m terrified of what’s to come. Yeah you scream, “privilege, you greedy bastards! (I know I’m just, as sick as you are) Then we’ll sit here and wait for death to come without the answers. Well we can say to anyone who will listen, “there is no purpose and there is no reason” I promise you that you will burn alone for the cancer that you've been selling, for the anger that you've been seeding, while painted with hate.

Look at her - how she smiles laying at the bottom of the creek. Her hand in his - pretending like it's not your entertainment, so that one day you might end this dream. Look at her - how she smiles laying in the middle of the street. Her hand in his - pretending like it's not your best arrangement, so that one day you might wash your hands - come clean. We've got it now but if we look back at ourselves we might be murderers as well. Like it matters when the world will stop to join in on the kill. You can't believe that all your problems will just fade away; you can't believe it's true. This is the end of you.

Dumb Lamb 04:05
Realize you can't escape the world, but in the end you can always dream. You can wait forever, if forever is what it takes. Raise favor, raise favor, raise your hand and fucking swear. "By sunrise we'll no longer be here!" Yeah, this is going to take us a while. Yeah, this might not even get done all. We've built illusions stronger than your safe walls; we'll burn down every tree within our forest; we've forgotten everything that we once stood for; we would give it all up, just to forget who we are. Don't be the end of all things. Don't let them build a wall around you. Don't forget about those you love. Don't ever forget yourself. In waiting, I've been awake for years. Can't we fill the pit we've dug, a piece of our own grave. You can sweat the fever, the disease is all the same. Feel delight, feel delight, feel reckless and assured. "By sunrise we'll no longer be here!" Can't we change intention, to a better time and place. You can take the weather, if the weather stays the same. Be broken, be broken, be the parts and not the sum. "By sunrise we'll no longer be here!"

I’m not listening; yeah you always say the same things. I’ve got a lot of promises; stay around long enough and I’ll break all of them. I can’t imagine being anyone else. I’ve been a terrible man for such a long time, now let it go. I find it funny watching you try to breathe. You’ve been a terrible mess for such a long time, so let it go. Filthy words in hand, I will tear you down. Hollow justice speaks, consume the empty. Your words are petty and weak; you deserve what you get so just accept what I give. You want impossibilities; yeah this always ends the same way. We already know, this war will never be won. Let’s lay out heads down, accept that we are done.

about

Black Mesa Bellingham, Washington

Black Mesa was originally formed by guitarist/vocalists Andrew and Adrian in fall 2011. Early in 2012, bassist Rowan was added. Finally, in the spring, after a lengthy search, Derek joined on drums.

The idea of the band is that the music should not be forced into a specific sound, allowing each song to be created depending on how the band feels at any given time.
